Culminating Project for Students to Complete at the End of the Unit
Students will be placed into groups of 3-4 students. Students will choose or be assigned a biome to do research on. They will have to do the following:
Students will create a display board covered in pictures, information, and other decorative items that are informative about their respective biome. It will have a proper title in a decently large font. It will have information on the biome including, but not limited to, plant life, animal life, weather & climate conditions, biotic & abiotic factors within the environment, the types of heterotrophs and autotrophs that are present, the types of symbiotic relationships that take place within the environment, and the inclusion of other key ideas, terms, and topics we have discussed in this unit.
Extra Credit: For an additional 10 points, students will create a model of their biome. This means they must create an actual 3D display of the biome they have researched. This model must illustrate the sources of energy, the types of animal and plant life within the biome, the weather and climate conditions, etc. It must look as realistic as possible.
MOST IMPORTANTLY...have FUN! Be creative!
